Tattvalogy Raw Organic Cocoa Butter is unrefined and unprocessed version of the cosmetic grade cocoa butter. It is the most untouched raw version of cocoa butter and therefore may not smell the same as the cosmetic grade and will also have a brownish tinge instead of the white color of the cosmetic variety.

How can you use Cocoa Butter?

For Skin

Since it's solid in a room temperature, you can melt it in a hot water bath and apply directly to the skin. If you want to add the benefits of other butters such as shea or mango, you can melt them together in a double boiler and keep them in a boiler.

For Hair

Cocoa butter works as a great pre-shampoo treatment. Melt the cocoa butter and apply across the hair like you apply oil. But don’t leave it on for long, since it solidifies fast, and once solid, it's difficult to remove from the hair.

Why is Cocoa Butter So Hard?

The melting point of good quality Cocoa Butter is around 32-38o C, which means that if your Cocoa butter is melting before reaching those temperatures, it might have some adulteration that you wouldn’t want. Also, this high melting point makes cocoa butter super hard at normal temperature.
